WORDS OF WINESDOM

Speak just as a professional and impress people

WHAT IF ... ?

You don’t have to be a sommelier to use the right word to describe a wine.

What does a wine taste like? There is an answer, that is your personal answer.

Bertie Owl “Speaking words of winesdom” can be helpful to learn how to talk about what you’re tasting, to develop a vocabulary that lets you share your expertise on an aperitif or dinner with friends.

Evident yellow-green hues make this sparkling wine immediately appreciated for its brightness and persistent perlage. It has intense floral aromas of elderberry and hawthorn and fruity hints of green apples and peaches.

THREE MAGIC STEPS:

LOOK

Examine the wine possibly against a white background. The glass should be about one-third full

SWIRL

Give the glass a good swirl by keeping it firmly on a flat surface

SNIFF

Give the glass a swirl and take a series of deep sniffs. Now you are ready to talk-x

Ruby red hue with garnet highlights, clear and consistent. Intense and of appreciable complexity it carries aromas of red fruit jam, it opens on more extensive notes of tobacco and licorice. The taste is dry and hot and with young tannins. Of good persistency, it offers a pleasantly balsamic finish.
